“Myths of Thorns; Myths of Lilies” will be the topic for Thursday, March 28, 2013, 7 p.m. as we explore Easter through A Course in Miracles.
T-11.VI.7. “You will not find peace until you have removed the nails from the hands of God’s Son, and taken the last thorn from his forehead. . T-14.III.4. Each day, each hour and minute, even each second, you are deciding between the crucifixion and the resurrection; between the ego and the Holy Spirit.”
T-20.I.2. “Offer your brother the gift of lilies, not the crown of thorns; the gift of love and not the “gift” of fear. You stand beside your brother, thorns in one hand and lilies in the other, uncertain which to give. Join now with me and throw away the thorns, offering the lilies to replace them. .T-20.II.3. Each gift is an evaluation of the receiver and the giver. .Offer him thorns and you are crucified. Offer him lilies and it is yourself you free.”
As next Sunday is Easter, I plan to bring an Easter lily this Thursday and leave it in the church for the Sunday service. If you feel inspired, please join me in this gesture of blessing and forgiveness.
