“You and Your Bother” will be the topic for A Course in Miracles class on Thursday, April 11, 7 p.m. at The Church Within.
The phrase “you and your brother” occurs many times throughout ACIM. Dr. Helen Schucman, a research psychologist on the faculty of Columbia University’s medical school during the seven years in which she scribed A Course in Miracles, took down the words she “heard” (or saw) from the inner Voice in shorthand. Thereafter her department head, Dr. William Thetford, would type the material Helen had received. Theirs was a highly conflicted relationship, so it is no wonder that Bill frequently mistyped “you and your brother” as “you and your bother.”
Next Thursday we will be taking a look at special relationships — and the holy variety too.
