There seem to be three quotes that often float around in my head, trickle out my fingers, and make their way into life Sunday Mornings. The first is from A Course in Miracles: ‘The journey to God is merely the reawakening of the knowledge of where you are always and what you are forever.’ The second is the Beth Bunn quote: ‘First thoughts are natural and uncontrollable. It is our ability and willingness to challenge those thoughts and redirect them to productive thoughts that determine who we become and what we believe.’ And the third, some of you have already guessed. It’s Ram Dass’s ‘We are just here to walk one another home.’
I have been waiting to bring these quotes together and will do so on Sunday. The music will be from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked. The morning will be about us. You and me and how we often forget who it is we are, how we sometimes have so much cluttering our head that willingness to challenge our thoughts lacks clarity; but in the end we find home has never left us–easier to remember when there are companions walking with us on our journey.
So, see you Sunday at 10:00. The Yellow Brick Road is already stretched out, awaiting you. And companions? There will be some in the folding chairs around you, and hope you bring others along with you, as well.
Remember, after church, soup’s on, and your bowl awaits!
Blessing and Peace,
