A few things, first I’m now a hockey fan. Me, who previously thought sports goddesses have long smiled on a diamond field with a batter’s box, bull pen, three bases and an outfield. I am now a hockey fan. Will let you know later my team. Will be whichever one is most glad about the position taken last week on justice and human rights by the NHL. I hear the jingle playing in my head already: ” Take me out to the hockey rink, take me out to the crowd. Buy me, some. . . .” I don’t even know–maybe some frozen, slushy drink, or something. Will have to see.
Secondly, it’s not just Spider-Man who walks up a wall. Those at church Sunday, walked right to their folding chairs via The Church Within’s outside red, brick walls. Before the notoriety of their Super Power spreads too far, let it be known, the red brick walls turned into a Yellow Brick Road by Rev Heidi Morris Cass’s Indiana School for the Deaf’s High School class. Thanks to them, our Oz Sunday–with its memorable music and truth and crayon, brick rubbings — had everybody there, easing on down the yellow brick road–more easily to find their way HOME. Thanks, Heidi and Class!!!
Hope to see you Sunday at 10:00. After all, we are all–at all times–living on the cusp. That means there are key ways we affect the future. As we see something of this within ourselves, our heart is certain to call. Nothing else much to say— except it is time to start!!
Blessing and Peace,
