Vampires sure are popular. I would like that to be the beginning of a very deep discussion on some insight into the modern psyche as seen through the current near-obsession with these sometimes-monsters/sometimes-antiheroes. I’m sure that’s been done, though. Really, though, it’s a reference to last Sunday’s message, which you can listen to here.
This week will be "Advance Vampire Slaying." We will walk together into a discussion of forgiveness as the ultimate end to vampiric infection. We won’t wear leather pants, probably. There will be no stakes, though the weather might be right for steak on the grill if you are into that kind of thing. What there will be is an opportunity for shift that leads to a life with a more open heart.
I hope you’ll join us this Sunday and at the great events we have coming up. The life of the church is following this spring energy. There is much growth, freshness, and the promise of more to come! In that direction, we’re about to change our email service so that things will be a bit slicker and a whole lot simpler. With this change, if you’re a gmail user, you’ll find our emails in your "promotions" tab. If you drag it from there to the "primary" tab, things should be set into the future so you don’t miss any email!
Also, Thank you to all those who have made donations for the Air Conditioning Fund! Be a TCW Supporter by going here and making a donation today. If you make the donation using bank information instead of a card, the church doesn’t pay any fees. Win!
In wonder at it all,
P.S. Thank you to all the volunteers who made the Green Room at SPOTLIGHT INDY an amazing success on Monday night. Thank you also to Reverend Cary Neeley for all the hours of organizing that went into making the night absolutely perfect. What amazing folks!
P.P.S Indy PRIDE is sneaking up on us. If you want to walk in the parade or help at the festival and haven’t signed up at church, reply to this email and I’ll get you connected.
